The 90-second rule is one of the best practices that is known to very few people, which can be learned (in 90 seconds) easily and used until we die.
We all know that though self-control plays a significant role in day-to-day life, people lose their temper by remembering the same thought (for example anger) for a long time.
As per the "My Stroke of Insight"(Book) by Jill Bolte Taylor (American neuroanatomist), there is a 90-second time gap between triggering a thought (in the brain) and it's fleet (fade away).
Once a thought is triggered, the chemical reaction takes place throughout the body which can be felt as a physiological experience. After 90 seconds, the chemical reaction loses its potential and dissipates in blood.
However, he/she chooses to remain in the same state after 90 seconds, the loop runs continuously.
The one who controls self can able to regulate behavior which in turn helps to achieve the objective of life. So, just remember this technique when you find yourself in tough situations.
