How to gain a control of yourself in 90 seconds?

Image
Representational image The 90-second rule is one of the best practices that is known to very few people, which can be learned (in 90 seconds) easily and used until we die. We all know that though self-control plays a significant role in day-to-day life, people lose their temper by remembering the same thought (for example anger) for a long time. As per the "My Stroke of Insight"(Book) by Jill Bolte Taylor (American neuroanatomist), there is a 90-second time gap between triggering a thought (in the brain) and it's fleet (fade away). Once a thought is triggered, the chemical reaction takes place throughout the body which can be felt as a physiological experience. After 90 seconds, the chemical reaction loses its potential and dissipates in blood.  However, he/she chooses to remain in the same state after 90 seconds, the loop runs continuously.  The one who controls self can able to regulate behavior which in turn helps to achieve the objective of life. So, just remember t...

Eat, Sleep, Mate, and Defend are enough for life?

Image
Eat, sleep, mate, and defend are the basic needs of all living entities. In addition to basic needs, humans have got some extra needs that are to be fulfilled. To know about those needs, we need to look at Maslow's "A Theory of Human Motivation". According to Maslow's theory, needs are classified into five levels. Physiological needs:  If a person who is lacking food, safety, love, and esteem, the person's highest priority will be food. Because a person has to be alive to meet other needs.  Food, water, sleep, air, clothing fall under this category. Maslow considered these needs as important, if these needs are not satisfied up to a certain extent, all other needs(education, properties, relationships, etc,.) become simply non-existent. Safety needs:  After meeting physiological needs, the vision goes towards safety and control.  The need for a peaceful society that is free of criminals, wild animals, and assaults, etc., will come into the picture. The desire f...

Cycling Brings Country's Economy Down

Image
Economy crash Does cycling bring the country's economy down? Yes, It may drive the economy downwards. Cycling brings us good health and strengthens the heart, so the number of patients visiting cardiologists will be decreased. No one will buy tablets to boost their heart, eventually, pharma companies generating huge revenue will be shutdown. Diabetes stays away from the people who practice cycling every day. No profit for pharmacies. Anti-diabetic therapy is estimated to be worth  $1.29 billion in India. If India alone makes that much revenue, just assume the bulk of dollars all over the world.  If people use bicycles for short distances, they need not buy petrol or diesel which are generating approximately $2.4 billion in tax revenue annually in India. Help in growing the economy! Eat junk foods, get diabetes before crossing 30 years of age, and start buying tablets to control it.  Use fuel vehicles for shorter distances, buy as much as petrol/diesel, and damage you...

Small Gap Between EGO And SELFRESPECT!

Image
Ego vs Self-respect There is a small difference between self-respect and Ego. Self-respect (We, We, or after you) is a positive feeling whereas Ego (Me, Me, Only Me) is a negative feeling. Unfortunately, the majority of people in the world have Ego but they think that it is Self-respect.  Ego has created blunders in many lives because that is the main reason behind the breakups of couples, the divorce between wife and husband, clashes between father and son, and many more.  Out of frustration, people show anger on their partners and throw dialogues like below. If you can't control such words, you may face disaster.  You don't understand me anymore! Does your work is more important than me? I deserve to be treated better than this! It's over between us, you will get a good partner! You are the most egoistic person I ever saw in my life. I can’t do this anymore. Blah Blah Blah! This Ego lies not only between couples but also with friends. How to cut-off Ego? Forgive! It is ...

Vasavamba According to Hinduism, society divides into Brahmins (scholars), Kshatriyas (warriors), Vaishyas (business merchants) , Shudras (laborers). During the 11th century, Vasavamba was born to Kusumamba and Kusumasresti on the 10th of Vaishaka, her father was a king of Arya Vaishyas and ruling the kingdom of Penugonda region. Kusumasresti extended his support to King (of other castes) Vishnu Vardhana who was expanding his empire. Vishnu Vardhana noticed Vasavamba during a visit to Penugonda.  Vishnu Vardhana, who was impressed by the charm of Vasavamba had put his marriage proposal in front of Kusumasresti to marry her. During this time, Kusumasresti arranged an emergency meeting with the people of 714 gotras in his kingdom. Out of 714, only 102 gotras supported Vasavamba's decision and other 612 gotras suggested Kusumasrest...
